How much bacteriostatic water should I add to my peptide vial?

What happens if I add too much or too little water?

Adding more water creates a lower concentration. Adding less water creates a higher concentration. Neither changes the total amount of peptide in the vial, just the concentration per mL.

Can I use regular water instead of bacteriostatic water?

Accepted Answer

No. Regular water is not sterile. Bacteriostatic water contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, allowing multi-use over approximately 28 days.

How do I know what syringe size to use?

Accepted Answer

Most peptide doses use a U-100 (1 mL) insulin syringe. If your dose is very small (under 15 units), a U-30 (0.3 mL) syringe provides finer markings.

What's the difference between mg and mcg?

Accepted Answer

1 mg (milligram) = 1,000 mcg (micrograms). Vial sizes are typically in mg, individual doses are often in mcg.
